NEW DELHI, October 15, 2026: South Korean automaker Kia has achieved its highest-ever monthly sales in India, delivering 32,017 vehicles in September 2026, a 41% increase compared with 22,700 units sold in the same month last year.
The impressive performance was largely driven by strong demand for Kia’s popular SUVs, particularly the Seltos and Sonet. The company’s expanding range of family vehicles and electric models has also helped strengthen its position in India’s competitive automobile market.
Kia’s momentum extended beyond September. Its sales reached 89,259 vehicles in the July–September quarter, marking 38.5% growth year-on-year. Between January and September, the company sold 253,008 vehicles, up 22.5% from the corresponding period in 2025.
The record reflects rising consumer interest in feature-rich SUVs and a broader selection of vehicles. With demand continuing across conventional and electric models, Kia will look to maintain its growth as competition intensifies among automakers during India’s festive buying season.
